Who operates Veyla
Veyla is operated by Daniel Mmanga in New Zealand. Contact our privacy contact at veylastories-support@googlegroups.com.
Your alias and your account
Veyla is an adult storytelling platform featuring general, romantic, mature and erotic fiction. Your public alias is separate from your account email. Using an alias does not make you anonymous to Veyla or its service providers. Avoid including identifying information in your profile or contributions.
Information we handle
We handle account identifiers, email addresses, authentication records, the profile details you choose, age and community-guideline confirmations, and content you submit. When enabled and used, member features store reading preferences, progress, bookmarks, annotations, follows, reactions, messages and moderation reports. Hosting and authentication services also process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs for delivery, security and troubleshooting.
Google sign-in
If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides an account identifier, email address and basic profile information, which can include your name and picture. We use this for authentication and account management. Your Google name and picture are not automatically used as your public Veyla profile. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files or contacts. You can manage Veyla’s connection in your Google Account settings.
How information is used and shared
We use information to provide accounts and reading features, deliver essential account emails, respond to support requests, investigate abuse and protect the service. Content you publish and your chosen public profile may be visible to other readers. Private account data is not intentionally displayed as part of your public profile.
Our service providers include Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for hosting and web analytics, Purelymail for essential transactional email, and Google for optional sign-in and our support group. These services may process information outside New Zealand. Support messages can be read by authorised support-group members. Do not send passwords or verification codes. Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by applicable law.
Cookies, device storage and analytics
Authentication uses cookies. Browser storage remembers settings, age confirmation, search history and reading activity; some reading data syncs to your account when signed in. Clearing browser storage removes local copies but does not delete server-side records. The full application includes Vercel Web Analytics to understand site use; it is disabled in discovery-only mode.
Retention and your choices
Account data is kept to provide the service and address security, support and legal needs. Contact us to request account closure, deletion, access to your personal information or correction of inaccurate information. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, security investigations or backup recovery; we will explain relevant limits when responding. There is no automatic account-deletion feature at present.
Under New Zealand privacy law you can request access and correction. If we decline a correction, you can ask for a statement of the correction sought to be attached. You can raise unresolved privacy concerns with the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.
Adults only and updates
Veyla is for people aged 18 or older. Contact us if you believe a minor has created an account. This policy may change as features change; the revision date identifies the current version.
